Hi all,

While reading the forum yesterday I came upon a post by a forum member named ''Phoenix 26" from Ontario Canada in which he mentioned in his Afrika Korps thread that he has ALS and only months to live, not only is Phoenix (only name I know him by) still posting some awesome threads and photos and contributing to this forum it surely shows his strength of character during a time that most including myself would be in grief and sadness....I do not see that in Phoenix at all, I do not know him personally other then his love of the Afrika Corps threads, posts over time here, but got to say I truly hope our forum brother beats these odds and is around for many years, certainly doctors have been wrong in the past and with the way Phoenix 26 handles himself here I think he's just the man to beat this disease, take care Phoenix, thoughts and prayers are with you...Sammy

I was thinking of this myself. I wonder if he has a Kickstarter or similar campaign to help his family out.

Also, could we offer to pay for the guy who is helping him for his favorite vehicle, or pay for one of Phoenix''s favorites and let him keep it.

Hi all, I did receive a brief message from Kevin (Phoenix 26) in so many words Kevin has come to terms with his outlook and is ok with it, tough dude right there!!! as far as the forum buying or doing anything for him I really couldn't say...hopefully he will add some insight to this thread himself, I have always said this forum is like a brotherhood, when our fellow member(s) have received a bad break I'm never surprised by the responses that are shown here, again hopefully Kevin will chime in if he feels fit to do so, and if not I totally understand as well.
