Dear Chuck,
As you were the inspiration for this piece, Figarti wishes to present you with the Number 1 of 30 Japanese Stuarts that we made for the Chicago Show. This tank has a brass plate bearing the Chicago Show logo, the year 2006 and "1 of 30." Thank you for all your support.

Wow,
That is a nice gesture and thank you.
I wonder if I could inspire you to make a 1:1 scale B-52, limited edition, of course, say a run of 30? :D

Chuck Harris is a fine gentleman and a Vietnam Veteran, and I can think of noone more deserving of a special gift. So Kudos to you Rick!

I have had the pleasure of having a few conversations with Chuck via eMail & the phone. He was kind enough to share some aviation history of the Vietnam era with me which I very much enjoyed. Ask Chuck about his initial flight training out in the fields back home especially in regards to cross country flying. Things have changed! I am happy to hear that he was honored with this gift.

Hang Tough Chuck!

Chuck,

Any chance of personal accounts on the forum? Speaking personally, I'd love to hear some from the horses mouth (if you'll excuse the expression).

Cheers

This is the horse's hoofs typing. What do you want the horses mouth to say and I like the expression. I used to be a Fox Hunter horse and all. To bad they outlawed it in the UK.
There many things I will not post on public forum. But please email me your questions. I'll even call you and chat

From talking to Chuck about it, it was my understanding they were used in the Philippines.

Was this tank used by the Japanese?

Mrgooch

Yes Japanese used all captured goods cars, trucks, buses & aircraft most of the M3's they got in the in the Philippines and some in China. They used the M3's against us we returned to the Philippines.
From what I've readed the Japanese Gov did not supply their troops in the field well. The small arms & what MG thay had where started in the 30"s with China is what they had at the end. There little or no efford made to update or produce better wepons.

If I were to use this tank along with K&C marines in a diorama do you think it would work.I know there is a slight size difference.

Set it futher back from your K&C items in your diorama. The depth will help off set the scale and it should look normal. Play around with take some pictures and you'll get a feel of what looks right.
