It probably was for the majority of average-intellect, middle class, 100% Aryan German citizen from the advent of the nazis until around the latter half of 1944. By which time, most of them were no doubt trying to figure out why it had all went wrong. Too bad that everyone else, including Jews, Poles, Russians, French, Belgians, Gypsies, Yugoslavians, Greeks, Brits, Norwegians, Danes, Dutch, coloured-challenged, sexually-oriented different, mentally-deficient, appologies to those I've missed, had to suffer, I suppose.

Only someone truly daft would think a regime which got your country totally defeated in an insane war against the entire rest of the world, split into two half-nations, dominated by the victorious countries for the next 50+ years was good for their nation. But then again they were stupid enough to follow him in the first place . . .

Speak for yourself, Panda, I voted against "W" twice! I did vote for his father, who was a very good foreign policy president.

I was recently reminded that politics cannot be discussed on the forum, so I imagine this ought not to continue.

I will say, however, that whatever one thinks of Bush or Blair, to actually compare them to such an individual as Hitler sounds incredibly ignorant. I am assuming it was hyperbole.

I completely agree with Tex's comment. It's nonsense to compare B&B with Hitler. Please forget about the politicians and let's continue to support the PBI on the ground.
