I recently recieved an old issue of the Conte collector's club magazine that came with one of their older playsets. The magazine issue entitled 'the gods of war would've been proud' features many items that I never even knew conte made. Items such as several civil war general figures like Burnside, Sherman, Forrest and others that I know they never made. Also were items such as numerous figures from the film 'the vikings'. While I know they features some on this line, the extent of sets I was not aware of. Some sets I never heard of were 'Morgana', 'Walking the oars','wheel of adultery' and others. There was also a william the conqueror figure I never heard of.

So my question is, did conte use to make those? Are they availible only to collectors club? If so is there more they don't even show that is in the collector's club? And lastly are they all only prototypes and they were never for sale?

Thank you so much!

Hi there!
I was still working for Richard as a sculptor at the time that flyer was produced, and even did some of the photography in it.
Many of the figures and faces of ACW personalities on that flyer were prototypes. There was every intent to produce these figures at the time, and some may still be produced as there are already mold and paint masters.
Conte Collectibles was in the midst of several projects at the time and resources were used to advance some projects over others.
I no longer work for the company so I cannot begin to tell you what the new releases will be...or when.
I would suggest you check their website from time to time.
All the Best!

Bridge and all.
Wonder what happened to those projects.:confused: Even stated so on a flier I still have.
