That tread title ought ta get some attention eh.

Normally I have great respect for the Queen of Toysoldiersteinnia. However, in this case HHR has really gone and done a massive disfavor to me personally.

Can you imagine my distress when I am looking at HHR' web page today (the K&C Napoleonic War section of course) and finding that she and the Royal Consort are going to Argentina and of all things; touring a toy soldier manufacturer; and, to top that off, not even offering to have ME accompany her (on a free ticket of course). Why I am outraged. I am beyond anger, I am … I am.., well; I’m crazy anyway so ignore my outburst of envy.

Shannon and Pete, I hope you have a pleasant, enjoyable, and safe trip. Have lots of fun too. :) Michael

Plus imagine all that great steak they're going to be eating. And you have no idea how good it is. I lived in Uruguay as a kid and have been to Buenos Aires a couple of times and what we have here doesn't even compare to the quality of the steaks and the chorizo (sausage) you can get down there. Am I jealous? Darn tootin'. I can still taste the chorizo from when I was a kid. Nothing at all like it here.

Maybe we'll bring you back a t-shirt that says "My toy soldier dealers went to Buenos Aires and all I got was this lousy t-shirt."
Or maybe we'll just send a postcard.
On third thought, maybe we'll just post pics to the forum and you can pretend you came along as you imagine yourself in each scene (Shannon trying to make her painted soldier look like Ana's, Pete pretending he knows exactly what's going on while he watches the casting process, that sort of thing;) ).

I'm with you, Michael. I too am red with anger at being totally rejected for my generous offer on another thread to carry Shannon's and Pete's luggage all the way to South America when could stay here in sunny New England and shovel snow. I'll even sweeten the deal, they can give one each of the new Honour Bound panthers to display in my home, free of charge mind you, and I will tell anyone who asks how nice they look on my shelves.:D

Now that is a great idea. You could sell them on through your online store and perhaps some of us would buy them... Ha, after being snubbed and not being offered the free ticket, I would not even dream of buying one.

On second thought, I might. ;) It would create conversation whenever I would wear it and perhaps that would help our hobby grow.

Small thought, think about it. May not be worth the time or effort. Just babbling via my laptop keyboard. Michael

Nope, Fred you'll need to stay in New England and practice your shoveling technique. It's not often you get such a Minnesota-like dumping of snow to practice on in your neck of the woods. You certainly can't squander such an opportunity just to bask in the Argentinean sun for a week. Honestly, where are your priorities?

Well excuse me, Ms Reuss. Just for the record we had well over 100 inches of the white stuff last winter and just because we had a mild January this year, the recent deposit of 19 inches of snow quickly brought us back to reality. As for my shoveling technique, after living here for 54 of my 55 years, I think I have it pretty well perfected.

Fred

By the way, count me out on the t-shirt thing......oh alright I'll buy one too.
