A Poll Suggestion that might make sense... (1 Viewer)

Yes:D but in Jersey we call him Pin-occo' :D as in "What are you.....and

the rest of those Pin-Occo's up to". Sort of a friendly term of endearment:D

I wonder what new releases Andy has up his sleeve for the fall?

Should be an interesting show in Chicago.

"I was stunned when Tony from King & Country UK whinned about people

selling DD65 Sherman on Ebay All because he had 9 left at retail?

I can't imagine selling nearly 600 pieces (or whatever production was) and

complaining because someone sold one they paid him full retail for on

Ebay On an on he went about how stupid the buyer was for not finding

his at his website

In my opinion very bad for business. Why not be glad your item is still

selling? Why not place your remaining inventory on Ebay yourself? Could it be

the selling fees? What?

My advice to dealers.......consider your customers......all of them, smile

sell your products, and be happy."

I saw rob mentioned this but thought i would just pipe in here!!

I suggest that when you read a thread and then quote on it you read it correctly before you accuse anybody of Whinning!! And anybody that knows me i don't whine i take the P**S!

My thread said exactly what Rob mentioned! buy from eaby i really could not give a two nuts, but my point was why buy at a higher price when the item or items are cheaper from a normal retailer what ever it be! again if you had read my thread correctly you would have seen i went on to mention waterproof casing for my camera! and how i found it cheaper than ebay!!

The thread was not a direct hey come to my site i have six left!!! it was they are still available at £89.95 why be an *** and buy it at £150.............and trust me the fees on ebay do not put me off as i pay much more in rent for my TWO warehouses, salaries for my staff, UK taxation and traveling promoting this hobby!

OOOpppps sorry NJJA whinning on a bit there!!

Tony I think we have all agreed that both the dealers, and most collectors

don't really care for the folks buying large quanities of items to resell on

Ebay. Dealers have to be careful what they say so they do not leave a bad

impression with their customer base.

When I read your comments......my immediate impression was surprise since

this item was an exclusive from you (of which I have one also).

You had already made your profit once when you sold it, so why be

concerned if the buyer resold it?

Wasn't he free to do what he wanted with it?

I'm not going to re-hash this again, and sorry if you were offended.

Personally once something leaves my collection I never concern myself with

what the next collector chooses to do with it in the future.:D

My other post clearly showed i was trying to think of the customer...........oh like save them a few pounds!!!

Sorry NJJA i was smiling when i wrote the last thread but you could not see that!!:):):)

Oh and i have a DD65 left with a special ebay price of £190 but i will do you a deal for £89.95................interested??:D

Hi Tony, sorry if you were offended but as a 30+ year collector I really

don't like people putting all kinds of restrictions or rules on others.

I'm not saying you do it, but it does get tiring when the same people bring

up their rules over and over again.

Its a great tank, and I enjoy it but one is enough thanks. Why not put it

away, and pull it out in a year or two with the nice box and certificate

people will be fighting over it I'm sure.:)

This is half of the Den.......I'm running out of room.:)

Njja

Not lookingto go on ...............i dont care what people do with any item or K&C after they have bought it! my point was why BUY it at £150 on ebay and other items when you can still get it at a lower price!!!

as you said i made my profit! good luck to the seller and all fool the buyer!!

And Nnooo not offended takes a lot more than that to get through my thinck head!!

I understood Tony's point and agree ! :D

You should look around and see what is available with dealer - who you like & can trust - and see if items are still available. If not then Ebay is a great way to pick up items you want.

Tony is one of the best guys in the business and very kind to his customers. IMHO.

I also understand, support and share Njja view on Ebay and Collecting - which everyone has heard from me before ;)

A little while ago I remember quite a few people complaining about the limited

production of the two HB sets #33 & #34. People began complaining about

the "Speculators" that were going to grab them all up and sell them for $500

on Evil-Bay.

Well its being done.........by a dealer.........where are all the complaints?

I took a look at current and completed auctions for these two sets and didn't appear to me to be by speculators but by collectors. Two were by Toy Soldier Brigade, who is a member here and a collector although he sells other kinds of toy soldier related collectibles.

Others who are selling also have a track record of buying toy soldier related items.

Frankly, the money is too inviting not to sell them as you can use the funds for other toy soldiers, which is what I suspect these sellers are doing. If I had one, I would probably think about doing the same.

I have seen some of thos sets for sale on ebay. Go for a lot of money these days. If I had all those I would be actioning them all off ecept for the dioramas.

Excellent collection you got there Njja.

Why thank you, and may I ad that I always enjoy seeing your wonderful collection as well.

I was just suprised after all the concern over the limited production of these two sets that no comments were made when they quickly appeared on Ebay.

Personally what each private collector does is his business as I have often
stated. If a collector decides he doesn't like a set, or its size or scale, or perhaps how it fits into his collection thats his business.

I thought a dealer had taken the items right to the secondary market.

It is an equally disgraceful practice for dealers or private sellers in my view; I make no distinction.......a duck is a duck....
