A real example of courage (1 Viewer)

Sometimes you have to look beyond the issues and break it down to a mob trying to beat up a person, which is what she did, a selfless act for which she should be admired.

I wonder what happened to the man she tried to protect.

From the New York Daily News:

She has never met the man she protected again, but months later a young man approached her in coffee shop and thanked her. When she asked what he was thanking her for, his reply was simple.

“That was my dad.”

Do you remember the photograph from the first days of desegregated schooling in the South with the very, very angry white student screaming at one of the black students as they attempted to enter a school? Apparently they both made peace some years ago so it can happen.

I wonder how our friend with the SS tatoo went at the next Klan rally when his mates saw him. I wonder if they mocked him for being saved by a young black woman. One would like to think that he did not renew his membership when it came due.
