Kronprinz do a hugh and ever expanding range in Napoleonic Infantry with the willingness to do paint job conversions making the range even bigger, but what I would like to see Emilio tackle would be Napoleonic Artillery that's been mostly ignored by other manufacturers in this scale.
As an example while FL did do French Foot Artillery unless you were able to get a set at the time but now no longer available. I would like to see Kronprinz add this to their range with the full complement of gunners all sold separately so that collectors could add to at their own pace.
Another set I should like to see would be British Rocket troop. Thomas Gunn did a great job with their release, but in their larger scale. I feel sure there must be many who would love to have a set of them in the same scale as the rest of their collection as I would.

If you like the idea fellow Treefroggers please like this post to give Emilio an idea of interest in such items.

Regards
Steve

Hi Stephen

I'm working on a piece of artillery griveaubal. Gunners may be purchased independently and corresponding to each period of the war uniforms. In addition, as the Spanish artillery used the same guns, also added to the catalog the Spanish artillery and a scene based on this box Ferrer Dalmau, Agustina de Aragon during the siege of Zaragozaagustina de aragon4red.jpg

Hi Emilio
Excellent, really looking forward to your release of these.
Steve

Hello Emilio,
Really like what I'm reading about the artillery piece and figures you are working on. Please think about doing line French figures wearing the uniforms they would wear in the field while firing their guns. Too often the figures other companies have issued, as either castings or painted, are of the guards and too smartly dressed for working on the guns.
Yours,
Douglas aka Blackbob.

Might be pushing my luck with this , but a caisson to go along with the artillery piece would be great !

Hi Douglas
Selling figures individually will allow Kronprinz to supply their customers with what we as collectors want, so Emilio could sculpt French Line, Guard, Horse, Spanish Artillery gunners or perhaps even Guerrilla / Patriots working the gun depending what is viable to him.

I agree, it would be nice to have some manufacturer, regardless of scale, finish a battery of artillery by providing limbers. caissons, forges and so on. We may be pushing our luck but it would be nice. Is Kronprinz planning a 28MM ACW range as well? Chris

Hi Chris
I think Kronprinz are planning on doing their entire 60mm range which includes ACW in the 28mm scale as well.
JJD almost got there with a bit of mix and match with their British 6 pounder, Howitzer, Limber, Ammunition wagon from their 1812 range and if you add the forge from their FIW range, Bobs your uncle ! No spare wheel wagon though.
Steve

I think the 28mm are just Napoleonics as of right now.

Hi Emilio,
I have only just seen this thread. I love this painting and I like the idea of producing figures depicting the scene.
If you sold the figures separately I'm sure they would appeal to anyone trying to create a Peninsular war diorama.
There is a shortage of civilian figures for the Napoleonic era.

Looking forward to seeing what Emilio comes up with, though I expect it's still a way off yet what with all the other projects he has going, such as the new smaller figure range.
Hopefully there be plenty for us to choose from in the coming months.

Hi Emilio
I've Just ordered your take on Agustina de Aragón at Zaragoza. How about some of the wounded/dead crew ?
Which Spanish Infantry Regiments were at this first siege and will you be doing them ?
Could do with some Peninsular War Spanish Dead / wounded troops, peasants and Guerrillas. Nothing too gruesome of course !

The Poem written by Lord Byron of Agustina:
Great last line.......

Foiled by a woman’s hand, before a battered wall?

Spain: Saragossa (Zaragoza; Sansueña)
Saragossa
Lord Byron (1788–1824)

(From Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage)

IS it for this the Spanish maid, aroused,
Hangs on the willow her unstrung guitar,
And, all unsexed, the anlace hath espoused,
Sung the loud song, and dared the deed of war?
And she, whom once the semblance of a scar 5
Appalled, an owlet’s larum chilled with dread,
Now views the column-scattering bayonet jar,
The falchion flash, and o’er the yet warm dead
Stalks with Minerva’s step where Mars might quake to tread.

Ye who shall marvel when you hear her tale, 10
O, had you known her in her softer hour,
Marked her black eye that mocks her coal-black veil,
Heard her light, lively tones in lady’s bower,
Seen her long looks that foil the painter’s power,
Her fairy form, with more than female grace, 15
Scarce would you deem that Saragoza’s tower
Beheld her smile in Danger’s Gorgon face,
Thin the closed ranks, and lead in Glory’s fearful chase.

Her lover sinks, she sheds no ill-timed tear;
Her chief is slain, she fills his fatal post; 20
Her fellows flee, she checks their base career;
The foe retires, she heads the sallying host:
Who can appease like her a lover’s ghost?
Who can avenge so well a leader’s fall?
What maid retrieve when man’s flushed hope is lost? 25
Who hang so fiercely on the flying Gaul,
Foiled by a woman’s hand, before a battered wall?

Looking forward to seeing your French line Napoleonics !

Hi Emilio.
Received your great sculpt of Agustina and Cannon this week. Really nice thanks. Now how about some fighting figures of your Spanish Volunteer Battalions to join her !
