A whole scratch built Napoleonic army!!! (1 Viewer)

Outstanding work! Thanks for sharing the links. His work reminds me of the style used by German makers like Heyde and Haffner, for their larger figures. They look a little smaller than 54mm. I work with a guy who's first-generation Ukranian and can read Cyrillic, I'll have to ask him if he can read the captions and tell me more details.

Prost!

The sculpting of those figures in the first link are quite beautiful. Hope Brad's workmate can translate this as I would be interested in reading more.

Does the plasticine used in these types of figure harden?

If you look closely you can see the fingerprints in the plasticine. It adds something to the figures in a funny way.

Amazing work - should be interesting in finding out more on ow it was done.
Compare the clay figures featured on Utube with the later ones. I guess he
switched from oil based clay to some kind of "Russian Fimo". Horses and figures
become much more detailed. Surely interesting how he did it.
Anyway a thread like this one keeps me hooked to the hobby and
encourages ones own little efforts.
Thank you very much for putting it up
kind regards
Wolfgang
