How many Soprano fans are out there. In my opinion the best TV show ever. New season starts next month.

Yeah, can't wait. That sucks they left you hanging for 2 years.

I have no favorite between The Sopranos or Deadwood. I am avid about both of them. I like The Sopranos because they have each episode leads to the next, to the next, etc. It’s like watching a really good, very long movie. Deadwood is the same and it's so raw and real. Plus I was born in Deadwood and when I lived with my grandfather in Lead, just 3 miles up the road from Deadwood, our next-door neighbor was Seth Bullock's grandson, Ken Keller. My family can trace its heritage back to the earliest gold rushers in 1875. My grandfather was the chief metallurgical engineer at the Homestake Gold Mine in Lead for 25 years. He was a close friend with members of the Hearst family in California. :) Michael

Best show ever? That's a little strong. I don't watch much TV but Curb Your Enthusiasm is the best one around in my opinion.

Ah, I guess you can count me in. I visited the Satraile's Pork Store in Kearney on my last trip to Jersey in December. The store is owned by HBO and is just a movie set opened up for filming.
We were actually dining in Kearney a block up from Satraile's, its a favorite of my Dads.....he is 85 now and likes to visit where he grew up when he can.

Its a miniseries, not a show, but my favorite ever television program was "I, Claudius" on Masterpiece Theater, starring Derek Jacoby. It was based on the books "I, Claudius" and "Claudius the God" by historian Robert Graves, and did more to hook me on history then just about anything else,

Speaking of miniseries, my favorite is Le Carre's Tinker Tailor. I got the DVD a year ago and have watched it 3 times. If you haven't read the book, pick it up. Great story.

Have never watched the Sopranos, must give it a go.But i love Deadwood!.really good.Never liked Ian Mcshane in "Lovejoy" but he is so good in this.
