Hi all:

Today I broke out a Christmas ornament Joe and thought I would try creating a little Egyptian desert diorama with he and a few accessories. Some of you may remember one of the best Adventure Joe sets from the 70s, Secret of the Mummy's Tomb. This 1/32 scale diorama is inspired from my childhood play with the original 1/6 Joe and yellow 6-wheel ATV. I had a lot of fun creating a few scenes and photographing for some fun-packed adventure!

Lone Joe standing in the desert with pick and a large jewel discovery. The original Joe set had a pick and shovel.

Joe uncovers the ancient sarcophagus of Pharaoh Cal-Hountom.

Lucky for Joe, he has his 6-wheel ATV to help in his expedition through the deep desert.

An old parchment found years later may help future adventurers in unraveling the true secret of the mummy's tomb!

Comments welcome.

Thanks for the pics. My brother and I had the GI Joe mummy set. We still have the 6 wheeler though its in pretty rough shape.

I had these sets when I was a kid, I remember opening the 6 wheeler Christmas morning, along with a G.I. Joe helicopter (I think it came with an idol full of jewels to winch up). G.I Joe stuff was my favorite when I was little.:smile2:

Thanks for the comments fellas.

I got the real set back in the 70s one Christmas Eve - one of my favorite all-time gifts. A few additional shots in tribute to Christmases Past.
