Is it just me or have the Aeroart releases been slow and not all that good? I have seen alot of amazing figures on the KOLOBOB site do believe I will have to break down and send money to Russia as Aeroart has been very disapointing? Any other opinions?

Sooner or later it was bound to happen that other entrepreneurs would start to compete with AeroArt. Thor was the first and biggest, but as time went by, it was natural that either the studios and artists would start dealing directly with their customers, or that some other dealers would become agents for them and compete with AeroArt. I'm a firm believer in the power of competition, so it should have benefits for collectors, as well as for the makers.

Prost!

I think this Kolobob figure is great.

This is certainly impressive, so what if you miss your mortgage payment for a "few" months.:D

I started out with Aeroart and moved to Kolobob a while ago. Recently I purchased SA06, a samurai figure from Nevskaya Miniatura. I was curious about the number since I was familiar with SA01, 02 and 03 but hadn't seen pictures of SA04 or 05. I asked Boris about this and he sent the attached pictures. Look familiar? They should, they are Aeroart 5153 and 6116. When I asked Boris about this his response was:

"Hi Frank,
No; those models are not exclusive either for AeroArt, or for Kolobob/Nevskaya Miniatura. SAxx are internal numbers of Nevskaya Miniatura; such soldiers could be produced for all customers (Kolobob; AeroArt or others) However, AeroArt has special conditions for these models, since Mr. Johnson place large orders to produce those soldiers"

Recently they have added an item, PB22 which is definitely a Russian Vityaz item.

Don't get me wrong, I like Aeroart, I just find you can get the same product with more flexible options (i.e. level of painting) by dealing directly.

Frank
