Hi Guys,

As you know we usually show our Pacific War scenes as the battle rages...

What, I thought, might it look like after the bullets have stopped flying and peace has descended on the scene.

Here, the battle has moved elsewhere and its time to gather in the few prisoners, check the enemy casualties and mourn one of our own...

Best wishes,
Andy

this is a very nice dio and do I spot a few new items ???
guy:)

Beautiful diorama with some excellent Japanese pieces. We're always drawn towards the new items but I think it's really cool to see the land-based Zeros in the scene. I like its weathering and color scheme. Have one myself pictured below.

That watch tower looks like a fine addition. Second time seeing it so maybe there's a chance of a release for our War in the Pacific collections.

Top notch stuff! {bravo}}

I think this was my last pictured scene of the Pacific:

Excellent dioramas! Kids had a snow day today so I find myself sitting at home watching "The Pacific". Between the dios and the TV series I might veer off course. Who am I kiddin, as soon as I step outside to shovel snow I'll be back in the mind set of the BOB^&grin

Looks like the truck is that something new for the japs too.

Hey Andy,

I remember drooling over that diorama from the Chicago show … AND I still love it.
At Chicago, the Japs and Marines were fighting it out ... and now an excellent reuse of that masterful setup with an "After The Battle" theme.

As mentioned, looks like a few items may (hopefully) be making their way to some upcoming dispatches? ^&grin
The Japanese truck and a new USMC figure waking casually (the guy in the back)?????

I love these three WWII Pacific series (JN ARMY / JN NAVY and USMC)

Keep them coming, Sir!

Agree the truck and Marine walking with rifle in hand at the rear, appear to be the only two new items. Look forward to seeing photos of these and more at this weeks London toy figure show. Robin.

Hi Guys, hi Larry,
Delighted you like our humble efforts...
Now, as regards some of the items on display in the Diorama...
The 'Japanese' truck is actually a little old Dodge diecast truck model that Gordon bought years ago and had lying about his workshop...He simply repainted it, 'weathered' it and painted the Japanese flag on it.
The Marine walking casually at the back of the dio is one of the 4 leathernecks that carry the stretcher with the wounded Marine.
One of the great attractions of building scenes and telling stories is adapting and reusing all kinds of figures, vehicles and accessories in different ways to create something new.
All the best and happy collecting,
Andy.

That's why I like the stretcher set, they also look great as stand alone pieces. Robin.

Well, Andy, you got me on those.... ^&grin
I guess that is why you are a World Class Toy Solder maker and I am a bumpkin from Maine.
Very creative using the stretcher bearer figure and putting a rifle in his hand.
Between you and Gordon you could probably make a Frosty The Snowman into a Roman Centurion! {sm4}

Merry Christmas to all,
--- LaRRy
