And now for probably the most interesting news of the month, we've taken an out with the old and in with the new approach to our Greek Hoplites and made the unprecedented decision to offer the remaining stocks of these figures at 50% off of retail only directly from First Legion. These were the figures that started the series off and while certainly very good figures, we now have what we are calling our "2017 Greek Hoplites" to replace them as our Hoplite offering. So while supplies last, these figures will be offered for less than $30 each! So if you've been eying the Greek Series but haven't decided to collect the range, now is a great time. If you do collect the range, you can very cost effectively expand your displays of Greek Hoplites for use in large battle dioramas (heck, they're now about 25% less expensive than our MB figures, but superior in paint and detail!). And if you've never collected First Legion previously, there won't be a better time because we've never in our history offered some of the best figures on the market for the lowest price on the market. Again, these are available only directly from First Legion and only while supplies last (AG001 is already sold out, sorry!).

It's a nice offer for people based in u.s. but 25 USD for the shipping to Italy frustrate the temptation to buy. Over 25 € of purchase outside the EU we pay an expensive custom fee (more is the value more is the fee ) so all in all it's the price of the figure + the shipping cost (nearly more than the cost of the figure) + the custom fee. So, let's say,i buy the cheapest figure on sale (the fifer) it's 25usd + 25 shipping + about 22/23 USD of fee.. It's more than what i pay buying it in Europe! Obviously the offer for u.s. customers is great but i must decline.

Well I went for it. I ordered 9 and sucked up the shipping costs to New Zealand and will pay the customs charges but still good value for such great figures. Discovered Macedonian infantry so will be back for them in a couple of weeks so FL's advertising worked on me. Gary

Hard to beat this deal for US customers! The Greeks are quite versatile......V.S. Persians, Macedonians and Greek to Greek.
Would like to see more deals like this when its time to move inventory, raise cash and invest in new lines.

Well, sure, if you order one figure at a time then of course it makes no sense as the shipping cost is amortized across only a single figure. But multiple figures typically doesn't add much to the shipping cost. Further, in Europe, the VAT Tax is already included in the price of the figure as priced in Euros. So there's really no difference there. So I guess do the math on if you bought all 14 figures via normal Euro pricing and all 14 at 50% off. My guess is that it suddenly becomes a fantastic deal. :smile2:

Thats what i did for the Normandy Tank, i did ordered 10 figurines with it, and we have free shipping.

Thats a good initiative from First Legion.

USPS. Please Matt. <----- IMPORTANT.

My wife bought me AG 03-15 last Friday. They are very attractive looking figures- especially when ranked together. I believe they will work with KC and TGM (which I have them posed with) as they are very robust. They are very appealing to the eye when grouped together. As a fan of the ancient world and First Legion figures, I strongly strongly recommend buying these figures at these prices. Rarely do we collectors catch a break like this- take advantage!!!

Having become interested because of some reading I’m doing — An Oddysey by Daniel Mendelsohn (a great book by the way) — I ordered seven of these.

I received the box today and just opened one and they are better than I expected. They have the proverbial “wow!” factor.

As others have said, if you’re interested in FL and/or the Ancient World, these are an excellent introduction at a price you can’t beat. I wish other companies would consider something like this.

My compliments to FL.

I already saw how good these were when I visited a fellow collector in Shanghai 3 weeks ago. He had one AG001 and two sets of AG002-AG015, second set he ordered during the promotion, plus lots of Aeroart.

I told myself I will buy the rest if I managed to get an AG001 that is in perfect condition off eBay. And I won one. So, that was how the rest of AG002-AG015 ended in my collection. Happy at this nice price.

Nice tip: If anyone needs an AG001 to start their collection, please contact Vicknor or Belgiumfries.

Here are some of my Greeks. Mostly FL, but some AA and other customs. Oh, and two TGMs.

Who’s going to pay for shipping from Hong Kong? 😱😱

I snagged 10 just because its hard to pass up that good of a deal.
10 figures for 299 doesn't happen to often in this hobby any longer.
It seems like this would be a good plan with the Napoleons Retreat too.{sm4}

That's a good problem to have. You have AG001 that is needed to complete AG001-AG015. To collectors, that is all that matters. Maybe someone will fly to HK to buy and collect from you.

AG 005 is now sold out as it’s disappeared from the FL website.

No disrespect intended but I think your first thought was the correct one -- you can't collect everything; there's not enough money and space to do so. It took me many years to learn not to try to be a completist.

I've purchased seven of these Greeks and may purchase a couple more but not the whole bunch as I look at expanding my Ancients collection with figures from other FL subranges or adding some TG.

Received my FL Greeks last night and figured I would try to post a quick pic with them blended with TG for those who were asking
if they would work together.
my photo skills leave a lot to desired but they blend really well. Both excellent figures from both manufactures
