I can't find anything through Google on this figure...can anybody expand on it or provide any links to the company?

he weighs 4.1 ounces...pretty heavy...seems nicely detailed...his spear is steel and I posed him with some Contes to illustrate his size...

if anybody knows anything about this figure or the company that produces it...I welcome all replies...

I want to list it on Ebay but don't know what it's worth?

Hi, Mike, he reminds me of castings from Russian makers, that I've seen on eBay under both old and new toy soldiers (pre-1970 vs post-1970).

Depending on how quickly you need to move the piece, I could see starting at $25 to $30 for the quality of the painting. You could start higher, but it might take longer.

Prost!

Brad ...I appreciate the reply...and your guidance on the price...

I agree...it's probably of Russian descent as the bottom of the base is so detailed and the weapon being steel...

the manufacturer's name on the bottom of the base...have you ever heard of "Ages"...

Sure thing, Mike, glad to help! On more info about Ages, I'm thinkin' on that one :) I've never heard of them but I'm searching to see what I can find.

Prost!

Brad...I sincerely appreciate your assistance...I'm definitely interested if you come up with anything...thanks so much...

Ha! Bingo, they're from Russia:

and here's the figure itself, more specifically, a Teuton, from their Ancients catalog:

1700 rubles if you buy from the studio. I don't know offhand the current exchange between the ruble and the dollar, though. I still think the price I suggested is one to move, if you need to get rid of it quickly.

The castings I'm thinking of have been going for around $10, while painted figures have been going from $25 to $50 for foot figures, and more for mounted and for more delicately painted examples.

Hope that all helps, prost!
