I saw this lauded German movie about a group of Conquistadores in search of Incan gold. It starred Klaus Kinski, a rather eccentric European actor. He leads a mutiny against the expedition leader which all leads to nothing. Everyone dies in this movie.
There are no action sequences, just some sniping by the natives in the form of spears and poisoned darts. The last scene has the camera zooming in on the stricken raft in the river and then going around to film it (in a reverse panning shot?). You can see the wake left by the speedboat as it circles the raft. Silly!
A most boring movie. The nearest comparable film to this is "The Mission" starring Jeremy Irons and Robert DeNiro. The Mission wins hands down.
