"Air Strike" canceled (1 Viewer)

Yeah Katzie, that is a strange story about Fan and it looks like the dust is not settling. I mean she got caught (allegedly) evading her taxes, like big time and just vanished. So, it is pretty obvious that she was kidnapped by the Chinese Secret Police, brought in, tortured, sent to a re-education camp and read MAO every day until she confessed her crimes against the state. Her family was probably sent for or held hostage and used against her if she didn't. I'm actually surprised she re-surfaced and just didn't stay missing. She probably got a pass because of her fame, but there is no doubt she got the hammer AND sickle dropped on her pretty hard. Oh, and that's IF this whole taxes story is true, since it was reported by the Chinese press. She could have kidnapped for ANY reason.

And, that is why I don't like the Chinese Communist party and its regime in power. When it come to social norms, or public law nothing has changed in that country...nothing. They still dole out bullets to the head for crimes in China with out due process and the poor get poorer and Commie Elites get richer. It is such a weird wanna be capitalist yet communist country that is a paper tiger at best. I know I am being harsh, but I have done a lot of studying on China and am not a fan of how they roll when it comes to how they treat their people and the world around them.

As to Ms. Fan and her future in movies? I am sure she will be acting again, but she will have "handlers" the rest of her life and it will be the government who signs her checks from now on. And one last thing, I hope this is a wake up call for Hollywood, who seem to be getting too cozy with the Chinese Film industry.

Sad, but true. When will they ever change?
