How do I view all albums?
I can view recently updated albums, but how can I view all? Thanks.

Walt

Did you hear from anyone, Walt?

Can you clarify a little further--do you mean you can't see your albums, those of other members, or any at all, taking into account whether they've been changed?

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and then accessing the forum again?

I don't believe there is a way to view them all at once. Some member have the albums private so you can only see them if you are on their friends list. You can only see the most recently updated albums. You would have to go to each individuals page to see all of their albums.

I am sure Peter or Shannon will correct me if I am wrong.

I am trying to view others albums. I can view those recently updated, but I thought there was a way to view all maybe. So far I cannot seem to be able to do that. Thanks.

I'm not so sure about the bit about seeing only those albums that are recently updated, that doesn't sound like a reasonable way to design that feature. Shouldn't we be able to see any that are flagged as public by their owners, regardless of last update date? For example, I went to Mike Miller's profile and looked at his; it looks like I'm able to see all, because of my security and that he and I are friends on the forum.

I have one album, which hasn't been updated since May. Can you guys see it? I think I have it set up as public.

Walt, I would still try clearing my browser cache, if you haven't already done so. There could be something cached that is causing what you're seeing.

Prost!

Hi guys,
I looked into this and strangely enough there is no built-in functionality to browse all public albums. I could change the number of days defining 'recent' for updated albums (I think the default is 30 days) but then a lot of included albums would really have no new content.
If I changed it to 365 days and we could rename it 'album gallery' rather than 'recently updated albums' that would mostly work around the missing functionality.
If enough people would be interested in a change (by a strong showing of posts) I would be happy to look into this further.
Are albums something people use much on this forum?
Do people feel there is a need for them to be more visible?
Let me know!
Best regards,

Good question; I only have one right now, but I'm planning on adding more.

It's a convenient way to display a collection, without spreading the images out over several posts in a thread or over several forums.

Prost!
Brad
