Yeah, new eBay brilliance:

"Seller limits

The Seller Dashboard helps you know what your limits are and how close you are to them. Under the Monthly selling limits section, you'll see the maximum number of items you can sell per month as well as the maximum dollar value of sales per month (limited by whichever comes first). You'll also see a monthly summary of your selling activity that tells you the number and dollar value of items that have been sold, are currently listed, and can still be sold. Items that are listed but not yet sold count toward your limits.

Most sellers have limits on the number and total dollar value of the items they sell. These limits may be based on:

Previous sales volume

Feedback, detailed seller ratings, and history of eBay Buyer Protection cases

The types of items being sold. Certain electronic and fashion items are limited."

I don't if this is really going to apply to me or not but they said it will. Why? No idea.

So they're telling me how much I can make monthly. Ok. That also means a severe cut in what they'll make on fees generated by my activity.

Good for eBay. I'm sure they'll make lots more money this way and really endear themselves to their sellers.

my next review period is May 20th. I'm laying off till then. Maybe one of those nice ebay business development coaches will call and ask why I haven't listed in a while. I love when they call.

That makes absolutely no sense. ^&confuse

It sounds like they are trying to limit problem sellers to make them behave better, but how can one even figure it out?

I wonder if they are going to do that in Canada?

apparently, I am a problem seller because of a shipping delay on a group of packages nearly a year ago. But it only takes three people to not be happy for limits to be applied to a sellers account.

alrighty then.

Here are the new standards for Canadians selling on ebay Canada and ebay US and yes they are different. Pretty hard to follow.

E-Bay stands for Ejits, Ba$t@Rd$!,Adam henry and Yuck! I stopped selling on ebay awhile ago. They are Morons studying new and exciting ways to become penniless Idiots! And if one asks I will tell you how I really feel.:redface2: Sorry they do p me off.

they also are promoting their ebay stores again heavily. the same program they were discontinuing a few years back. thats a subscription rate of $16/month.

one good thing they are offering first class domestic and international with delivery confirmation. that is kind of a huge help as first class shipping is expanding a lot while priority rates climb. why they just don't slow down priority shipping times, i don't know but it is what it is.

anyways, seeing as how ebay has told me that my listing activity will be limited by 25% and that they will with hold my payments until positive feedback is left or confirmation of delivery is provided, i'm laying low.

when i do list again, if they hold any of my payments, i will cancel the transaction and refuse to ship until ebay has released said payment or banned me from their site. and i'll work privately with the buyer(s) affected.

one look at my feedback profile and you'll understand why i'm so pissed.

Man I can see why you are angry. I would seriously consider selling on my own website if I was in your position. The way ebay is going they will be bankrupt real quick. Might well be time to start up a rival site to take away a some of their business.

Dave

They are holding your payments? what the heck is that about. Can you imagine if you toild them you were holding thier payments. Ebay has gone so far down hill in the last 5 years.
