I see that the British Grenadiers 1st set is gone at some of the dealers. I think this set was the one that first attracted me to the line. I wish I had some more of these but my budget is pretty low these days with the winter heating bills:( I guess I'll have to move somewhere warmer so I can buy more soldiers:D I was sad to see this set go but on a positive note it means his product is moving and hopefully this bodes well for his line and my collection. I did notice on some of his other sets the production numbers have increased. Do you guys think 250 is a good number for his sets ? I would have liked some of his sets that make good multiples to be higher like the firing line poses.

I believe that John Jenkins' 7-Years War figures are wonderful. Of all my guys from K&C to Britains, Frontline, HB, Figarti, FOV, Rene Club (a Russian Company on eBay), NMA, Patriot, and ONTC, I rank John Jenkins above them all for quality, detailing, paint, and realistic poses. Someone else said on a scale of 1 to 10 they were an 11. I could not agree more.

I like the idea of a limited number of sets. It gives me a comfort level I enjoy. The feeling of having collected something that is not that common. Is 250 the "right" number of releases? I really don't know. All I do know is that I like the idea of a limited number compared to 1,000's of releases. It's just plain nice to have something that not everyone has or can get and that I can afford, unlike rare muscle cars or expensive paintings or whatever else.

John told me last week when I was approved as a dealer (outstanding) that the three Indian sets have been bumped to 1,000 sets. Not sure if all future sets will be at this level, but I am happy with that number. There were several sets I could not order as part of my initial order as they are sold out................

Limited production is attractive to me as a buyer of toy soldiers. But first I must add I LIKE the product John Jenkins produced. If the production is limited to 250-500 I think that's the right numer. It creates desire and interest in thier line. Am I a buyer a 1,000 sets? - sure - yes I like the product. But limit the production on individual sets, and just make more sets. Sounds simple , probably not a feasible business plan.

I am a huge KNC fan , but I must say JJ is my favorite manufacturer at this time. The whole seven yeas war series is uncommon and very interesting to any American History student.

I just purhcased the Indians and French in canoe's sets and they were fabulous. A+ in my book.
Keep 'em coming..

I am not one to drift too far from the King & Country Thread - but, I have to agree these figures are really outstanding. I saw them for the first time two weeks ago and I am very impressed. Great Stuff. :D

Ya snooze ya looze. I waited too long. Been wanting to snag 12 Grenadiers since I saw them but screwed around .
I have all the Conte FIW Indians as well as the Frontline .Guess I'll be making do with the Britians AWI Redcoats!

It will be interesting to see what this series of figures is worth on the secondary market. I have not seen very many of his previous 54mm figures on eBay. He has done a couple of previous Indian and Rogers Rangers as John Jenkins. I don't see much of his work with Frontline on eBay either. I am thinking that collectors are not buying for investment but for collection and since they are in limited edition releases, its the collectors that got'em first. Either that or their waiting for the best profit opportunity to arise.

I keep hearing good things about these soldiers. I got some extra money for my birthday to spend so does anyone know were there is a set of British Grenadiers 1st set avalible?

Thanks in advance.
