We have been having a lot of talk about Warbirds of late so I thought I would put up some pice of the RedBull Air Races that took place on the 30 May 2008 - 1 June 2008. The host city was Detroit and being from Windsor, Ontario we got to watch from ourside. The races made only 2 stops in the US this year San Diego and Detroit. It really was a great day out although I did get a bit too much sun.

Enjoy :)

Nice formation of AT-6 Texans.

The WWII weekend was held last weekend at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum, Reading PA, there were some nice warbirds to see there, too. Unfortunately, I don't have a camera, so I can't show any pictures :( But this year, there were a couple of Corsairs (Goodyear-built FG-1s), plus a P-51D, that all flew, along with a P-40E. And they flew one of the Avengers, too (TBM-1).

Gotta save up for a ride in the B-17G next year ($450)...

Prost!

Man that's cool! I was lucky enough tobe in the area of Holloman AFB last week and saw the first 2 F-22 Raptors fly in. They made a couple of loops over the field, never seen a jet at speed make a right turn before, and I mean a right turn, no tight 90!
