All You Need Is Love (1 Viewer)

That is the beauty of the Beatles; they wrote about many varied themes that have become classics such as Eleanor Rigby. The number of songs they wrote that have become standards is long: the above two, Yesterday (one of the most recorded songs), Let it Be and so forth.

My favorite Beatles album is Abbey Road. There is just so many great Beatle tunes, I don't think I could pick one favorite song. ::confused:

Well, as Dracula said just prior to expiring, "Here Comes the Sun". My all time favorite.:D

Abbey Road is indeed fantastic and is actually their last album; what became Let It Be was actually recorded before AR although released after it.

One of my favorites is Oh Darling but one of the worst songs ever recorded by them was Maxwell's Silver Hammer; it caused a lot of disharmony and showed Paul at his worst: making insipid songs when he clearly had so much talent, which is evident on the remainder of the record.

One thing is for sure: they went out on top.

THE MAGICAL MISTERY TOUR... Take it while you can!

I loved A HARD DAYS NIGHT and I have the lp aswell.Simmo.

Great movie, much better than Help. Did you know that A Hard Day's Night is not actually in the movie and that all the songs they sung in the movie they recorded first so it would be ready for the album?

I find "A Hard Day Night" to be an outstanding time capsule. It is very well done and is written so that the personalities of the boys comes through like one was talking to them in person. "Help" was fluff, but was still highly entertaining and neatly done. Both are priceless moments in time of the most influential Rock group in history. -- Al

A Hard Day's Night was based on what it was like to be a Beatle, Beatlemania and all that so it had an air of believability. On Help, it was more like an adventure movie and the lads commented that they felt like guests in their own movie.
