Just found out that Alsand's Toy Soldiers Plus is now a retail dealer for First Legion Ltd. That's great news, since I live in the Northeast. They also have a retail store, which means that I don't have to wait for a show to see this line.{sm4}

George Guerriero of Minuteman Toy Soldiers is also a dealer. Although he's based in the Boston area, he will be attending the Freeport, LI show this weekend. Might be worth checking him out.

well, being from alsands, you'd know what show you'll be at next. ^&grin

sorry, couldn't resist.

I think you misinterpret, Gid, I don't think this poster is Alan or Sandy Feuer (the "Al" and "Sand" in "Alsand"), just a devoted customer of theirs. Or did I misinterpret :D

Weren't they also at the Hackensack show? They've taken tables at the MFCA show, too, in recent years.

Prost!
Brad

I think Gideon is probably right, just someone tootin' their own horn :rolleyes2:

According to a previous post they are the owners of Alsands, just don't see the need for the cloak and dagger approach.

Nope, one of them was posing as a loyal alsand customer to publicize themselves. In a previous post, they make clear who they are.

Anyways, this is a pretty relaxed forum. They could have made an announcement without the attempt to be stealthy. Frankly, the way the announcement was made and the next post made about the upcoming show, it's pretty obvious even if they hadn't announced who they were in a previous post.

I'm sure they feel pretty embarrassed about it if they've seen this post. People make mistakes. Best thing for them to do would be to apologize and move on.

Thanks for clarifying, Gideon! I just went to their profile and pulled up previous posts, and saw one signed by Sandy back in Feb '09.

Yeah, that's pretty shabby, or shameless, or both.
