I had a real enjoyable conversation today with Richard Conte - what a GREAT GUY ! :D We talked about all the hard work he is doing to get his business back in full gear and the surprises he is finding in all his thousands of boxes of stock.

Let me encourage everyone to reach out to him on his email and let him know what Retired Conte Sets you would like to buy - you might be very surprised to find out that he actually has found some them !

There seems to be alot of agendas going on with CONTE and Richard himself on this forum. I found him to be a fine Gentleman and really committed to producing TOP QUALITY TOY SOLDIERS.

Many have had problems in the past - most with staff who don't work for him anymore. I certainly believe that we shall see a better and more involved CONTE COMPANY in the coming months.

Business changes are hard - but decisions are made for reasons and when you discuss those issues with him - you get the other side of the story.

I personally wish him well and plan to continue to buy his figures.

Anyway - those are my personal thoughts and hopefully we shall soon see those great Civil War figures on the market soon.

Very well said Ron. I agree with you completely.:)

I will continue to buy figures from any manufacturer... My loyalty lies only with a fine figure and Conte has done some great work to move this hobby forward by leaps and bounds! I hope it continues...

The way manufacturers keep improving on the quality and realism of figures can you imagine if Conte does the same his will be out of this world.

Is Richard going to be concentrating on plastics or metals?

I have a better question, how long is it going to be before the curtain goes up on his collectors club? Well, maybe not better, but I think it's a good question.

Just have a question for the fellas who talk often to RC, did he mention any new sets at OSTN or a debut of figures?

Vick

Richard's has sign up for various Fall and Winter Shows and it maybe that OTSN is one of them.....The Lt.
