If you can get one I would. I would not worry too much on the size issue. One would have t know what prototype they based it on. It is somewhat generic I believe. They are getting expensive!.

The pirce on it is going higher every year. I would like to have one. Great selection for that would be AK, EA, AE.

Was the AK in Egypte then?

JP

I just found a book about Egyptians which my parents had,, The size of the Pharoh head is accurate,, saw a picture with people near the head.. The picture was a pyramid/temple with 4 Pharoh heads @ the entrance!

I am not a deep WWII Desert War expert but I don't believe that the AK actually made it into Egypt, except for a few spies and a few recon groups. Rommel was stopped a couple of times by Monty and the EA.

But I poised a question in the Forum about historical accuracy vs. artistic license a while ago. Most agree that a great looking diorama can have a few "historical" flaws.

So having some of the AE pieces with the K&C EA figures would be fantastic and correct. Having them with the AK figures would make a incredible display but (who knows) about the accuracy.

You can always say that you have a secret document that shows.... ;)

I agree. It's nice to combine things with mytical Egypt.

The model for the pharaoh's head could be a number of rulers from the 18th through the 21st Dynasties.Tilt it on its side, and you have the model for Shelley's "Ozymandias (a.k.a. Ramesses the Great)," which you can see if you do a search for the Ramesseum. Throw a little sand on it and voila, you have a little feature going. I'd agree with others, though, who advise you not to worry about the exact proportions or whether the AK actually got close enough to see such sights. It's all in the spirit of the thing.:D:D:D
