Yea...

hopefully...they can be found...

I have 8 plastics I bought from Fubar in San Antonio...

even with my lack of skills...they painted up well...

the sculpts were very crisp...

Harold's painted ones were gorgeous...

I would really like to see some close-ups if anybody on here collects them...

I would sure appreciate some photos...

Joe thanks...

and those are spectacular by the way...as is all your work...

is there anyplace I get get some good close-ups of them...

like "stock" photos...other the the ones on Conte's website...

I have really enjoyed the Conte Metal and plastic Spartans and Persians. Here are some long ago shots of some the metal ones.

Bare in mind that my colors are not true here due to the lighting issues. They are brilliant in person; may have to take some new ones.:)

Bill...

I really appreciate your taking the time to track these down and post them for me...thank you...

they look really nice...

are they fragile compared to your other figures weapons, swords, spears...etc...

I have never held a Conte figure...

are they comparatively heavy or light in your opinion...

if you find time to take new pictures...

I would really be appreciative...

thank you...

I think they are quite nice and among the best ancients I have seen. They have not proven fragile at all for me. I have yet to have any damage to any of mine, shipping or otherwise and I have almost all the Spartans and a number of multiples of the Persians. I have moved them around quite a bit as well.

I am not at home at the moment but I think they are the heavy side; it does not seem he skimps on metal at all. They are full bodied 58-60mm and do not fit at all with the EOI figures, which is a pity since EOI had some nice variations. Nonetheless, the Conte Spartans in particular have some nice variations in poses and you can add even more with the plastics, which are the same sculpts but posable and paint up nicely. The plastics are, of course rather light but stand up well enough, even on grass mats. Overall I would certainly recommend them.

I'll try and get to some new pictures, I have quite a few more figures since those were taken.

Bill...

Really cool pieces. I'd like to see one of the "metal giants" of the industry release an Ancient Greek line, that would be spectacular.
