Small collection purchase that I made. Everything in the collection was K&C. Seller told me that this too was K&C. The base has no markings.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have a base like that for the glossy Napoleonic series but not sure about the flag. Would need to check my brochures when I get home.

That makes sense, as there were a few Napoleonic glossy in the group I purchased.

I only have a few old K&C ads myself and I am having problems getting to Sager's site. Is his site down??

Peter,
I have a K&C book and I think I saw it in there...I'm going to look...will be back!

It's in the brochure that I have. Issued in connection with the 1997 handover of Honk Kong to the Chinese. Should come with a figure saluting in dress whites. Can send you a scan tomorrow if you like.

Brad

Peter,

I found a picture on page 126 Volume 3 K&C Glossy Book...HONG KONG as Brad said...though stated first appeared in 1994. It goes with the Noon Day saluting figure or likely the set.

The September 1994 brochure shows four bases with different flags: one for the changeover (Peter's), Napoleonics (one I have), American Civil War and Seaforths. I don't believe this brochure is on Bill's site.

The "changeover" being the handing over of HK? If so, this goes with the Noon Day Gun set that I have.

I have looked at pictures of the Noon Day Gun and have noticed flag poles. That is very helpful Brad - THANK YOU.

Peter,

Yes, the handover or changeover of Hong Kong to the PRC.

Brad

I believe this set I have is also part of the changeover...

Larry,

We need to raid Louis' collection today so we can pry a few pieces from Peter's collection with Louis' pieces. He's only into Heco anyway ^&grin

Brad

Its bad enough Larry feels the need to move pieces from WWII dioramas to 19th Century dioramas, now you guys want to enjoy a midnight shopping spree among my beloved glossy K&C collection!{eek3} I'm afraid that anyone wishing to chat with Larry and Brad in future may need to do so via a medium . . . ^&grin{sm4}:wink2:

Who said anything about "shopping" :wink2:

Well, the medium is the message ^&grin

Hope nothing is missing today, heh, heh {eek3}

I wouldn't invite Larry back if he's like that.:wink2:

By the way, I picked up two dead horses for the equivalence of $4.26 in the 1950 era...
