Recently visited a "Wargame Show" out of curiosity mainly, as a result of seeing buildings and scenery items in 28mm scale on the internet. I was completely blown away by the range of figures, scenery, in fact everything related to this scale. Whilst I have no interest in wargaming and the fantasy stuff the range and quality of the historical figures impressed me greatly, in fact the level of detail in many put some 54mm plastics to shame. I have wanted to put together a diorama of the Battle of Rorkes Drift, but having embarked upon a similar project in 54mm for the Alamo, decided to look at 28mm scale and featuring the entire thing on a 4' 0" x3'6" board. In this scale its possible to feature the battle on a one to one basis, a lot of work but possible.
I have made a start on some 24th foot which I attach pictures of below. You should be able to spot the "film" versions of Chard, Bromhead and Pvt Hook.
