It would be remiss of me to fail to note that yesterday, January 31, was the 150th anniversary of the adoption of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution, a blessed event, if there was ever one.

The images below show the resolution as adopted by the House and the pandemonium that erupted when the measure was adopted.
