OK

We all had so much fun the last time we played this game - its time again to decide where does Ron spend his next $100 ??

However - the rules have changed

We will be given only four options to better focus your advice and my collection. :D

WS

BBG

AK

NA

So lets hear it - who has some great advice on where this should be spent??

DISCLAIMER: ALL PURCHASES WILL BE MADE AT TREEFROG TREASURES !

Either the Prieto Panzer (Hmmm, nice ring to it) - AK
or the Prieto Kublewagen - Bulge

Either way, you're getting something pretty unique (and spending at Treefrogs:D)

What AKs do you have or don't have? Also, why not 8th Army?

If you haven't already got them, get the WS or AK Opel Blitz. What a great piece!

The AK Opel truck makes a nice addition to that series. Also, I believe KC will be making some figures to place in the back so it will only improve.

We will get Ws-53 & Ws-54 painted up as Ak figures probably in July to fit in the back of the Ak Opel.

Hi Bill-

You get a copy of the June dispatches before everyone or what? :p

Great info for K&C lovers in general and AK collectors especially.

Pierre.

I havent bought any of the newer sets that have come out Panzer II or Blitz - been working on getting the older stuff. So what new sets should I look at?

On the British 8th Army - everybody knows American Won the War in North Africa - Brad ! :p

I would say go for the old stuff that is still available if you don't have it becaue who knows how much longer they'll be around. I'm thinking of AK 16 through 22. I would probably go for AK 16.

As far as Eighth Army, almost all of the older sets are retired so you're probably safe there.

Ron. I hear that the NA100 through 110 the French Line INf. are moving rather fast. If you havn't gone there yet, and want to? Should think about it.
Don"T wanna' have to play catch up on the last elusive standing firing fig?

I would think that Andy will keep making those French Line Troops for awhile still - kinda like what he has done with the German WS 38, 39, 40 guys......
But, I do agree that I need some more of those wonderful French Troops - you can never have enough :D

Brad

Do you think Andy will keep those AK 16, 21 and 22's around for a while like he did with the WS Germans??

Get the DAK motorcycle combo. You know you want too. :)

Ron,

Your guess is as good as mine, probably better:). However, with those old numbers, you'd have to think it's only a question of time for AK 16, at the least.

Hey Ron-

4 recommendations:

1.) BBG005- Hetzer tank- can't go wrong with a tank

2.) AK027- 10.5 cm field gun- great model but runs $150 typically- bike in to work for a week- the money you save in gas should cover the extra cost (or actually, get you both AK27 and BBG005)

3.) Dump the Naps onto EBay and beef up the Defense Budget for other projects :p

4.) Come to WW2 Weekend in Reading Pa on Saturday!! Be a part of history on the swelting hot sun baked runway!! If you get here to Mechanicsburg, you can hitch a ride with me and my family.

Take Care!!

What is WW2 Weekend ??

Ron

Hey Ron-

WW2 Weekend is an annual show at the Mid Atlantic air museum that is pretty big here in Pa. There are thousands of re-enactors and several live planes. Lots of old WW2 vets are there as well. You can check it out at www.maam.org/maamwwii.html
