Yes, that is definitely on my list of top 10 military historical films of all time! The film has everything; historical facts, drama, beautiful scenery and a great story by one of the greatest authors of all time James Fenimore Cooper. A classic for all time!
 
Definitely one of my favorite movies of all time! Superb soundtrack as well!

It follows the actual history of Fort William Henry, except that, in reality, the French did not plan the ambush of the retreating column, the majority of the column was not massacred, and the real Colonel Munro only had one daughter, who, by this time, was older. I don't believe she ever came to this side of the Atlantic. In real life, Munro died after his surrendered column reached Albany. He was furious that Webb had not sent reinforcements and Munro would have to be courtmartialed. While walking around in Albany some time after losing Fort William Henry, he suddenly dropped dead.
 
That is one of my favorites, watch it every time it's on. Great battle scenes, love that period in history. I always wanted the Barzo LOTM playset, they are very hard to find now, and when you find one, they are drastically over priced. Mike:)
 
Loved this movie, I think I'll get on line and buy some JJ figures!
