Any pics of french 155mm gun and crew? (2 Viewers)

Along similar lines, can anyone confirm what the gun is constructed of? I heard that it is not metal and is very light weight. I have no interest in plastic construction of an artillery piece, but would be very interested in getting this if it is partially metal. -- Al

I personally could care less what any of these products are made of I'm not 5 and banging them around on the floor like a Tonka truck.

For me its the end result that counts whether its achieved using resins, polystone, photo etched parts, steel, tin ect ect, or a combination of all matters not. The weight of a product is totally irrelevant to me and has no baring at all as to the detail achieved, that is solely in the skilled hands of the sculptor and painter.

Of course many have a different view and that is fine, to each his own as they say.

It's a mixed media piece, primarily resin with metal, steel, aluminum, etc.... The base of the piece is quite strong and pretty heavy because you can't make a piece like that in resin only and not have it warp, so it needs to be reinforced. Anyway, our production methods are our production methods and the goal is always to produce the most beautiful piece we can make, not the heaviest piece we can make.

It's incredibly detailed and wonderfully painted and very reasonably priced relative to it's size and quality. In fact, we just went on backorder on this piece a few days ago, but more will be in stock mid December with our new releases which will be announced shortly.

I'm sure someone out there has one who can offer further comments. I can only say that you won't be disappointed.

Best,

Matt

Thanks for the response. It answers the question I asked. Glad to hear that it has different elements and is not all plastic. -- Al

I do have the full set , ive had a first look at them and they look marvelous,

The only drawback is that ive put them back in their boxes, still dont have room for them yet,

But i can tell you they do look fantastic.

I will try next week to put them in my display, and take pictures of them.

Serge :)

Thanks for the feedback King Tiger II

Do you have any Infantry figures?, Fr. Ger. or the new Brits. If so do they all look good together size/scale wise. Some makers are not so good in this regard.

I think I have already decided to pick up the gun and crew set.

I do collect and almost own every pieces made by FL.

Just waiting for the new pieces that are on pre-order.

I cant tell you if they fit together, since most of what i own are still in their boxes.

But from what is unboxes they all fit well.
