Saw lots of the JA's at Hack this weekend- just curious if anyone has any dioramas in place. Alomost bought some for my wife, till I realized that would cut into my funds.
I bought the majority of the Jane Austin figures on eBay very cheap and display mine in the background with some Napoleonic Coldstream Guards band members marching by with the Kings colour and regimental colours (I got those cheap on eBay as well).
I know the band is gloss and the JA's matt but they look really nice together. The JA's look like onlookers watching the band march by. I think they are great period figures.
I'm going to buy or make a wall and gate for the background and some trees behind to make it look like a public park.
The only issue I have is with the bases. The JA's are cobblestones and the band flat green gloss. I'm working on that one.........

Here are a few pictures from some time ago after I first sculpted the figures and received some pre production samples. Scenics by Hudson & Allen Studio, the building is the original pattern before it was delivered to W. Britain for duplication and production.
All of these figures are useful as civilians from about 1803 to 1819. They would be at home in a diorama in Washington, London, Paris or any other number of locations.
