Hi.
Does anyone have a catalog of the Helenic line of toy soldiers by Imrie? I am attaching photos of a figure that I am trying to identify before I seriously bid on it? Can anyone help me who has a catalog or who simply knows what this figure represents?

This is a 146th NY Zouave, supposed to be holding a tin cup in 1 hand and a rifle in the other, wearing standard Zouave baggy pants.Someone put new arms and added the skirt,so it's not rare, just converted.Saratoga Soldier Shop is I/R's new name, they show everything on their website.

I/R currently charges $17 for foot figures, so consider that, if you're thinking of bidding on this figure, and take your postage into account. Their website is http://www.imrierisleyminiatures.com/.

I/R had selected foot figure kits on sale for $8 at our show, and they were also discounted other kits on a per-transaction basis. I got a 17th Light Dragoon kit, consisting of the trooper figure, walking, leading his mount, for $30, which was a $5 discount.

My usual range for I/R foot figures is $10 or less. They are plentiful enough that I can afford to wait, when I'm looking for one.

Prost!

Helenic or sometime spelled Hellenic
First company of Imrie and his wife Helen in 1956, will be joined in 1964 by Risley, then the company will be renamed IR
Those pieces were usualy sold mounted but unpainted
So Helenic was not a sub serie of IR but a maker before IR
For a collector, even if the pieces was produced later by IR ( this is no even sure ), the value is in the signature on the base
