Do you ever notice that ebay seems to run in cycles? For instance there is all of a sudden numerous Hanomag's(WS13) and Arnhem sets especially AN002 listed. Anyways my question is in regards to the Daimler AN016 that is listed. The one I have came with the the two fig's on the ground and another sitting fig placed on the vehicle drinking coffee. The one listed shows the same two ground fig's but a commander in the hatch.Isn't something amuck here?My reference sheet shows that AN016A was the Daimler with commander,a separate set.Does anyone have both sets to compare?
Thanks..

re : Dahlmer

Brian, you got me confused, is there 2 sets?
I have the one with the guy drinking coffee on the hatch. Maybe that is a later version we have?
Never noticed a different figure for the vehicle.

I had the AN016 (twice): the versions that I had came with 3 figures and a camp-fire. I've heard of a different version, in a more combative mode, with a version of the early Bren carrier commander, but have never actually seen a photograph of it. I'd imagine that Michael in Duke Marketing has an amalgam of two versions of that set. Still AN016 though so he's not wrong in listing it on eBay under that description.
Don't forget that there were a few Arnhem sets that were not AN referenced. There was a version of the Sherman and a bren carrier as far as I can remember. There was also a 25lb gun with quad limber (a version of which was also produced as the Long Range Desert Group) and which was eventually recycled as 2 separate sets in the current 8th Army range. I think that there may have been a non-AN reference jeep too but I'm not sure.
Hope the above is of help if you're thinking about bidding on eBay.

There were two versions of the Daimler Armored Car

You are correct, there were two releases of the Daimler Armored Car. It originally came with the three guys "brewing up" and a little camp fire, but there was a second flyer, about a year later, selling it with the 3/4 figure of the British Bren Gun Carrier/Tank crewman figure which came with the wood Bren Gun Carrier, British 30 Corps Sherman and Cromwell Tanks. I strongly suspect Andy ran out of the 3 men crew, didn't want to produce more, so just sold it with the existing figure (which he kept recycling for years).
