Roy, what was the verdict on how many times that it could fire per hour?

For our other readers, that was a quiz question on the Facebook page.

Roy, they look terrific, with a lots of nice detail. Are they a combination of resin and, perhaps, metal for the barrels?

Hi Moe,

They are terrific - for sure :) They are all metal and although quite small, have a nice hefty feel to them. The split bodies are hinged so they can be elevated a little.
(although the tiny pin is quite solid in it's retaining position, so I'm not sure if you should.........)

As usual the photos really do not do them justice - very, very pleased with them.

Historically was one side red and one plain wood?

Not as far I personally am aware.......... Going by the WOR releases so far, I would guess John will be releasing the crews in Yorkist and Lancastrian liveries and the different gun finishes could be used to denote each side?

Gun crews coming very soon!
Might be the end of the WOR series although pikemen and a couple of other Knights were sculpted.
I am hoping for some additions even if we have to wait a while.

Hope that's not the end. - Would like to see John do some other personalities from the Wars of the Roses. - King Edward IV, Richard Duke of York, Warwick the Kingmaker, along with their banners, just to name a few. - There's life in this old girl yet.

Nice gun line there Roy …..

now all you need is the gunners ……. ???

bring them on now ????

John

Oh yes John - By all means bring them on now! Shelf ready and waiting.............. ^&grin

Wow you win Roy with all this fire power. Should have mine next week. The 4 gunners are in coming Nov & Dec. Hope those 4 casualties that have previously been shown are not far away. Robin.

November and December - that's great :) I wasn't expecting them for quite a while Robin and like you, I'm waiting on the casualties :)
I have to agree with with nysoldiers - I think these sets will probably be "it" for the WOR. Lots of new JJD product that's very, very popular..................

(Would have been nice to have a Commander of Artillery though) ^&grin
