Simply superb drawings, I suggest you use the metric scale and then convert to English and avoid the Paris foot. I am assume the "yellow" means the barrels are brass (bronze), not iron.

So if you want to drop a JJD American 8-pounder in with your Prussian Grenadiers go for it, the neighbors will never know.

As I understand it, the Prussian Blue and the American Blue used in gun carriages were nearly identical in color.
 
Hi Fraxinus, you're correct, Christian is referring to the color of the barrel. He's a member of the Seven Years War Project at Kronoskaf and has done excellent research from original sources.

I think you're right about the color of the carriages, too. The blue paint the Prussians used on their carriages was a sort of medium blue, a little darker than cornflower blue, perhaps, but similar to the color of the dragoons' coats. I use Model Master's French Blue for it.
