Oi, a sneaky visit to the 'ye old toy shop' hey Bob...very Great War, very French, very nice. {bravo}}
Wayne.

No worries, does the taxi come in any other colour?
Wayne.

There are rumours...but Brett would be the man to ask. I've only seen the burgundy and green version but it is a real treat - and super light. The non-driving driver did not arrive with the shipment, and the configuration of the steering wheel suggests it would be difficult to fit an 'add-on' seated driver without removing the steering wheel...perhaps if we all beg, John may do a second version with seated driver...:)

I assume then that it is a choice of this colour or none ? ah well it will have to do. Yes begging would seem a option for a seated driver version....{sm4}

Crikey Bob, im gunna have to get you more hooked on WW2 so you can create more dio's in that era like the one below!

Very nice series of photos. I really like the French 1914 troops that KC does and the JJD taxi is on my want list. It all looks great together. I really like the lighting effects you used. -- Al

Thanks Al - the lighting is solar - 4PM Winter sunlight against the garage door on top of two wheelie bins; you would have laughed at the juggling I did to avoid having shadows on the backdrop sky. As the sun got lower, I had trouble keeping my own shadow off the dio....it's all part of the fun :). The taxi is great and highly emotive as an icon of that legend of the Marne. I'd love to see a driver behind the wheel and a couple of Poilus hanging off the running boards....

Thanks Tom - I'd not be able to improve on yours in that era but happy to lend a hand;collaboration is a facet of the hobby that is vastly underrated for its fun and satisfaction :)

Looks great as always Bob. I am looking forward to picking mine up tonight!

Enjoy - I was amazed at how light the sturdy little machine is compared to the AFV's - I had to open the box to make sure there was something inside - but it is really well crafted and even the small details are sturdy...and the box is of a size that suits the model :)

Must have been a bit insulting to the dealer that you doubted his word!

Pllleease (Colonel Hogan)! I never insult the dealer :) - it was merely commentary about the consideration of the designer for dealers and their customers (insulting dealers would surely be self-defeating :) ).

Thank you for posting this beautiful scenery, colorful, rich WW1 diorama {bravo}} You can recreate well the historic period and it is so nice to see dios on WW1 and other periods other than WW2 .....
