Hello, again! It's a new month and time for an update of the All the King's Men website. We're pleased to announce the launch of our Napoleonic British infantry flank companies, lights and grenadiers. These units can see duty in Europe against France, or in North American in the War of 1812. They have the signature shoulder wings and (in the case of lights) hunting horn shako plates. If you're inclined, you can also create the same kinds of units with "full" shako plates.

You can see these guys painted on our Completed Projects page, along with a full unit of 1812 Baltimore militia, Canadian Voltigeurs, and our new wargame movement trays as they'd appear in use. We also have a picture from supporter David Crenshaw with his rendition of the AWI's Tarleton Legion Cavalry.

If you're a reader of Toy Soldier Collector magazine out of the UK, look for pics of our 1812 militia in hunting shirts. They appear in the latest installment of Paul Stocker's "Casting Around" column. Thanks, Paul!

August 14th is the South Carolina Toy Soldier Show, and ATKM will be there. We'll be focusing on painting figures and terrain. You can check out the show site here:

Otherwise, work has begun on our next line of 54mm toy soldiers. I won't beat around the bush -- we're starting with 1812 French infantry, line, voltigeurs and grenadiers. They'll come in campaign dress and greatcoat, with command. Heads will be separate, as will shako decorations (pompom, "shaving brush" and plume). There will be 10 separate heads. That means even grenadiers in bearskin are possible. Obviously, we're looking to combine these with our existing 1812-1815 British. Should be pretty cool. I'm not yet sure where the line will lead, but we will pick and choose units rather than try to do the whole Napoleonic period. How's that for "toy soldier" sexy?

As always, remember that ATKM is on Facebook. We post there every few days, so check us out:
