Took my wife to the Atlanta Cyclorama this morning, she loved it. I haven't been since I was a kid, but I was just as drawn in as before, it's a marvel to behold a painting of that scale as well as near life size figures. Anyone here been before? If not, given the number of civil war buffs on Treefrog, I highly recommend it as it gives a great out look on the Battle for Atlanta. According to one older gentleman who was there today it's a heck of a lot better than the Gettysburg one, as I've not been to that one I can't say for sure.
Best,
Josh

Both are amazing but I have never been to Atlanta to see the cyclorama. Only in books and on the web. I do believe the Gettysburg one might be a bit older, finished in 1884 as I recall.

It is a must see for the ACW fans! I visited it several years back when I went to visit a friend in Atlanta. There are a lot of other very interesting small museums there as well so if you are in that area for a few days you have to check them out. Some of the items on display in those museums were "Sherman's Donuts" or rails that they destroyed by heating and wrapping around trees and one of the engines from the great train chase. Very interesting even if the ACW isn't my favorite era.
