The toy soldier and model figure sociey of Atlanta is having their annual show this weekend in Atlanta. It starts at 9:00 in the morning on both Saturday and Sunday at the Crowne Plaza hotel on Powers Ferry Road right off of I-285. If you are in the area this weekend, it is a good show to see. Not as large as the Chicago or London type shows, but this one has been going on for over 30 years and is a fun show to attend. This will be my 9th straight time going. Ringling Brothers is in town as well, so the wife and I are going to the Circus friday so plenty to do in Atlanta this weekend.

Show is tomorrow, it usually has a wonderful display area, the two dealer halls have been shrinking the last couple of years but we shall see.

I get to visit with my Russian Federation Dealer for my annual Samurai Figure purchase. It usually takes a good 5 minutes for him to stop talking long enough to show you the current figures available.:D Once you make your decision it usually takes another 10 minutes for him to decide how much to charge, so the entire process is quite unique.

I will try and shoot a few pictures which hopefully will be fun to see.:)

Back from show I will post pictures shortly. Display area was quite nice with a lot of nicely done models and displays.

Trading area consisted of two rooms with maybe 50 or 60 dealers. One dealer had a nice display of current King & Country and a few other people had a few pieces for sale.

Quite a bit of plastic, model kits, military books & magazines, figures from different manufacters, display pieces and other military related items were available.

Traffic was light to moderate and everyone seemed to be having a nice afternoon.:)

Show had moderate to light traffic at least while I was there.

Last photo is King & Country dealer I believe Troops in Time.

Its always fun to attend a nice show. I managed to pick up a couple of nice

Dinky Military pieces and a great old WS23W Winter Panther. It made for a

nice afternoon.

I thought this was pretty sharp!:D

That's Ed "Big Daddy" Roth's Rat Fink character. I can't remember who makes the kit, though. I think it's more recent.

Trivia-Ed Roth was known as "Big Ed" to his friends and on the hot rodder circuit. But when Revell hired him to design custom hot rod kits, they gave him the "Big Daddy" nickname, they thought it sounded better.

Prost!
Brad
