I ran across this film clip today showing Waikiki celebrating the surrender of Japan and wanted to share it. The singer is the great Jimmy Durante. I was a little over 5 months old living with my mom in Connecticut waiting for my dad to see me for the first time after being discharged from the U.S. Army in December of '45.

Yes the producers got it right when they selected Diana Rigg to create a character that would have M(ale) Appeal. Never saw the Avengers film with Fiennes and Uma Thurman as Emma, who could not even come close to Rigg's classy Brit persona.
