Releases should be released this week, what are you expecting/wanting? More Vietnam or Pacific?

I would like to see some;
European British troops
Battle of the Bulge [might be too early]
Napoleonic British, cavalry would be good.

we have not had a plane for a while, I think?

I'm always hoping to see some new Napoleonic figures. In particular, I'd like to see some KGL or British line infantry, French hussars in action, and a redo of the Horse Artillery of the Old Guard.

Brendan

I hope Japanese troops for Pacific and more marines that we can see in the Collector's magazine.

Think we are due some British Napoleonic figures, but there are some ranges which do seem to dropped off the radar, not having a go at K & C as they have to increase the ranges but would like to see K & C 'add too' their Napoleonic Brit ranges, such as more North of Britain cavalry, maybe some light cavalry, would love a new line regiment.

Expected is the 4 man patrol Aussie's in Vietnam, John Ford cavalry and WW11 German. Robin.

Think some Vietnam stuff is for release in August. The Ontos also the Aussie patrol. Really like the Aussie Patrol so certainly be intending to get them !
What else is due I don't recall, some Japs and Pacific Marines would be good.

I'll cast my vote with "Malhorne" on the WWII Japanese and USMC sets.
I wouldn't be to disappointed :redface2: if they weren't as I am still behind on the last two plus other K&C sets. Seems this hobby is either feast of famine.

But lately, with Andy and company, is has been feats, feast, feast, feast .....{sm4}

Like you say Larry, so many good things coming out at present makes it hard to choose what you'll purchase that month. If that's all we have to worry about then life is all gravy ! :wink2:

I would think Vietnam including Aussie patrol figures and some additional John Ford Cavalry would make me very happy

Me too …..

but the only couple of figures for certain are 'Josephine and her Napoleon' NA414 which was seen in the latest COLLECTOR this month.
There is a possibility of these poses, court dress and ladies, being issued in the future.

I suggested to Andy that some British Light Cavalry are needed, so maybe Light Dragoons ????
British or KGL Hussars maybe not going on the recent French 7th Hussars and their higher cost for the detailed painting .

These items were on display this month on the K&C Down Under Tour …… all are very nicely sculpted and painted, and I'm sure you will be most pleased with these 'diggers', as I am :)
The Patrol Leader VN031 was the dinner gift for those who attended :)

Hi Brendan,
Many thanks for your interest...Re 'New' Napoleonics...Actually we have more in the works for release in 2019. Generally speaking however, it's impossible for any one company to be all things to all people all of the time?

Productions schedules get altered and adapted fairly regularly based on sales reports and actual results as well as other feedback from K&C dealers and collectors all over the world...It can be a mixture of both science and art what gets released and when...

Plus as a collector myself some subject matter may resonate more than others at certain times...Overall we try to accommodate as many of our collectors wishes and hopes as possible... and still keep within the boundaries of a well-run and successful small company.
Best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy.

Hi Andy!

Thanks for your reply. I'm looking forward to seeing what Napoleonic figures K&C has planned.

Brendan

Thanks John .. K&C can hardly go wrong when they take onboard yr suggestions for possible Napoleonic releases.

Thank you Andy for the much awaited Josephine ... Ladies of the Court perfectly complement the fashion & grandeur of the uniforms in the Nap era.

Perhaps K&C would also give us the likes of Marie Louis of Austria, Maria Waleska and Pauline Floures as a sub theme. These and a few others .. Please excuse my spelling.

In due time of course.

Thanks for listening.

Hello Andy,
One of the hightlights of the first day of every month for me are the dispatches from King and Country. After all these years I yet to be disappointed. I divide the dispatches into four groups; I need need now, I want, not now-later and not interested. I collect American Revolution, Alamo, US Civil War, Real West, John Ford, Rough Riders and anything US World War II. My only exception to my US interests are the Eight Army and the Afrika Korps. There is always something for me. This month as with last month the I "need now" are the three John Ford mounted troopers.
You are the leader in the toy soldier hobby. Thank you for all you do from producing the variety of toy soldiers to being an ambassador for the hobby by traveling all over the world.

Best regards,

Joe

G'day Joe,
Greetings from Copenhagen (I've just arrived with my wife and daughter for a wee holiday) and many thanks for your kind words... and affection for certain of our ranges including the AK.

Talking of Afrika Korps...I was up in China on Tuesday to meet our Sculpting Team. Among the designs I handed over to them was a dozen or so of my sketches for brand-new AK soldiers in action.

As for being an 'ambassador' for the hobby in general and K&C in particular...Well, I have always enjoyed meeting and talking with fellow collectors since day one of my participation in this great pastime of ours.

And, as I've said many times before, some of the best and most popular figures and fighting vehicles K&C has ever produced have come directly from the conversations with and suggestions of K&C collectors themselves.

Communicating with collectors in personal meetings at overseas events and shows as well as regular feedback on Forums such as this one are vital to this company's ongoing success and very special to myself and K&C.
All the very best and happy collecting!
Andy.
