Does anyone know the history fo the figures by Ausley? To the best of my recollection which isn't all that good, I seem to remember that they either came ina box of something or you had to send away fror them. Of course my memories of this event are 50+ years old, can anyone fill me in?

Golly, gee whiz, with all these learned scholars nobody knows anything about these poor fellows?

I have a few Ausley figures. (6). The ones I have are only cowboys and Indians. I had some as a kid. The ones I got now have no markings on base. I don't know if they are originals but the plastic is the same type. Ausley figures have both arms that move. The cowboys have two pistols and the Indians have a knife and tomahawk. John

Yep, that much I remember, I had them as a kid too, but I'm trying to remember if they were some promotional gimic or they are store bought. The ones I had as a kid, the main body was a redbrown color, the ones I have now are a bright red.

I have the brown ones now but had the bright colored ones which I bought at the dimestore. Leadmen

Okay, so they were dimestore bought, I was only 4 or 5 at the time. I had a survivor until 1967, then my mom gave him away along with everything else that survived.

Sounds familiar- same thing with me along with ALL my comic and baseball cards when I was in the service.

Ohhhhh, don't talk about baseball cards, i'll lose my mind.
