That is a good website. I been using it for awhile to check out Britain and artillery painting and sets. I got a couple of Montford artillery guns but did not assemble them yet. They reccommend solder which for me would be a disaster. Good reference site. Leadmen

Hi Leadmen,

I took a look at the site its an interesting one. Have you thought of trying JB Kwik weld? Its pretty good stuff on metal etc. I have tried on the recommendation of one of the other guys from the site to repair the leg of a horse. It sets up really fast though so you need to be working quickly.

Good luck

Dave

Yes Dave, I use weld mix for figure repair along with epoxy. Montford artillery kits have fine castings that soldering would work best on revolving wheels and other parts. Weld would be hard to get right. My friend is very good at soldering and assembled a kit for me and is doing two more guns when he gets a chance. The Montford gunners are nice castings but have no arm pegs so I probably will pin them. I ordered the kits from Tarrant's in England and had no problems with service. They also have some neat Indian artillery guns. Here is their website. Leadmen

N-P,

I found this website several years ago. One of its many strengths is its links page. If anyone has not clicked on the links page, take the time to do so. You can spend hours following links to many, many interesting websites.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

I,d have to agree about that links page I,ve been using it for about a year or two and put a link on my desk top to it becuase it has every thing on it and I also like the fact that it opens the links on (I don,t know the right term)a new page so you can surf around the sites and just close them when your done and be right back to the links page. I posted a link to there links page on this forum about a month or two after I joined this site. If anyone has not checked it out you should becuase its great and has links not to just toy soldier sites but also many millitary history sites that have lots of great info.http://www.upnaway.com/~obees/soldiers/links.htm
