Okay, so I finally got my first "real" toy soldiers in today from TSSD! I mean, since I have come back to this hobby (which was about 6 months ago) I have only gone so far in terms of getting anything new. I went and found my old Britains and I bought one new Britian figure off of eBay. I also wanted to start practicing painting figures so I bought several bags of the cheap-plastic-army-men at a dollar store (Which were great for practice purposes).

However, last week I finally broke down and ordered the WWII Germans in Long Coats from TSSD, so this is my first official purchase since getting into this world/hobby.

They arrived today and I found them on my doorstep this morning on my way to work. I was able to tear into the box while driving to work so that I could take a quick look at them....and WOW!!

I mean, I knew the stuff at the dollar store was junk, but I didnt know how junky it really was until I saw these guys! They are bigger, better detailed, and you can tell they are better quality (from the weight and solid mass of the figures).

I am very happy with these! I will be ordering from TSSD again!! I actually didnt buy them directly off of TSSD's website; as I actually bought them off of amazon.com, but that is only b/c I had an amazon.com gift card. If I didnt have the gift card, I would have bought direct from TSSD. Anyway....great stuff!

Thanks!

(Thinking about taking the day off to go home and start painting! haha).

You made a good choice of figures to paint. I enjoy their WWll figures. J

All the TSSD plastics are quite nicely done. They are "playable", displayable and convertible. If the economy weren't giving them fits you would be seeing more new releases from TSSD.

I hope they arent having too many "fits"....I need them to stick around (now that I am hooked).
