What regiments do you want to see K&C produce in these upcoming years? My personal vote is for a continuation of the Royal Welch Fusiliers supported by the Royal Marines, and for the Americans a militia unit wouldn't hurt.

Although with a killer roughly 20% increase on the cost of a new April 2012 Fusilier figure compared to that of the first release of Fusiliers collecting is now becoming a birthday and Christmas only hobby for me, which is sad. These new ones are just at the very very top end of what I can afford to pay for a figure, so I will enjoy them because I think the next price increase for a figure will be the end of it for me and that is a rather depressing prospect.... :(:(

I have been looking around on the forum to see the price increase, but I can not find mention of this for April. What's the new cost for a figure now?

As I mentioned in the "Dispatches are up" thread I am happy to see something after such a long drought, but there are so many different companies, nationalities and regiments, why Fusiliers again?

There were dozens of Minutemen and Militia to choose from. How about some of the Canadian Regiments. Massachusetts was a major player in the Revolution yet no Massachusetts Continentals.

Maybe some of the Stockbridge Indians (who joined the Continentals) would be GREAT addition to offset the British Indian Allies.
The British Calvary has only THREE figures to choose from. There are a lot of possibilities to choose from in that range. The Loyalist and Loyalist Rangers are a particular interesting group and would be a welcomed addition.

There were 20 or so French Infantry Regiments that fought in America during the revolution, as well as some French Cavalry. Why can’t we have more of those?

I love the Hessians we have (Hesse-Cassel Infantry I believe,) but there were over a dozenothers that can be represented. Don’t forget the Hessian Brunswick Infantry and Cavalry; the Anspach-Bayreuth; the Anhalt-Zerbst and Waldeck Infantry Regiments as well as Hesse-Hanu infantry and Artillery.

Then there is another whole area to explore in the Royal Navy Officers, Junior Offices and Seamen, British Marines and more.
Heck, I can go on for a couple of dozen pages.

Anyway, THANK YOU ANDY and K&C for making a snowy day in Maine a warmer one. Tonight I can ponder and dream about 7 new figures …. And more to come??????????????????

PS: PLEASE Don't retire these to soon as it will take me some time to build up a force!!!

Oh don't say that, there are so few of us vocal "good AWI guys" around. BigDenny, 45thDivision and I need all the help we can get!!!!!
Don't feel to bad. Look at the prices for some of the other release this month. (DD161 = $155 / DD163 = $155 / LOJ019 = $95 / LAH151 = $139. / RA025-3/2/1 are starting at $199 {eek3}{eek3}) Heck, all three are $600 + SH

Heck we are on the lower side in prices. For $600+ we can get build a kick butt marching column of 16 or so guys. (what a deal!!!)

Like everyone, get what you can and ENJOY it.

Mike, thanks for the link. I did not even think to look at the K&C web site. I just picked up some of the Welsh firing and the new marching are very nice. The 7 usd increase does make me pause a bit. I am afraid of what the new summer ww2 figures will run.

On the need for other units for awi, I could not agree more. So many interesting uniforms and units in the war. I missed out on the French when they came out but then not too many figures in the range, so I would love to see them again. And any cavalry would be nice to have. Again, so many to choose from.

Happy with the new Fusilier releases .. Hope to build a fair sized column :smile2:

Not meaning to press K&C so soon .. But have 'voted' on hoped for future releases. These being mostly dragoons, Artillery, marines and state regiments. Personalities and non-combat figures seem to be a common wish.

Thank you

Don't worry Larry, no matter what I will always remain a Treefrogger, even if not an active collector so I will still be posting on here promoting the cause of AWI in the toy soldier world! {sm4}

What you've got to remember is that a £7.00 price rise per figure works out more to me than $7.00 for you.

To have a standard figure at £38.95 now is as I said before going to prove incredibly hard to afford personally for me and I suspect the next release of K&C AWI figures is probably going to be not far short of £50.00/$50.00 per figure.

I completely appreciate K&C have higher production costs, but I am just saying for me that as much as I love the K&C AWI range the next price increase is three strikes and out for me...:(:(

you know with the exchange rate pretty good for the British pound, maybe look at purchasing from the USA. I've looked at the postage rates and you can get it delivered flat rate priority mail (which holds up to 24 lbs) for around 30 dollars. That's not a bad deal and something to look into if it helps you to buy some figures.
