B17 Chicago Show (1 Viewer)

Absolutely beautiful bomber! Great work with your photography Carlos.

Great job Carlos! From what I understand this model at the show is a prototype...will it have rivets (instead of lines) on the body and wing section in the final version? Is the plane made of plastic? I would surmise that it will be too heavy to be in polystone or metal

$900 + crew I think is reasonable

Rick:

Great pieces of art! I knew, back in my mind, that you will one day go 1/30. Good decision to keep the 1/32 line. Though I have a few Figarti's in my collection (because these are closer to 1/30 though they are in 1/32, i.e. Honey Tank), I think this will be a start new "love affair."
(love the E-boat, B-17)Keep those creative juices flowing.

Grat job and great show!

These B17's are prototypes but I don't know if any rivets will be addes to the production model in the future. I'm unclear about any B17 crews being added in the future.

However, I do know that production model will be more weathered than the version you see here.

The plane is made of polyurethane. It has a very nice feel, much nicer than resin.

I can barely get the words out of my mouth let alone type. There is room on my airfield for this piece of art. Bravo! Thanks Carlos for posting all of the pictures! Does anyone have any details/logistics on the X-MAS set which I saw in one of the video productions in regards to era, # of pieces, etc.?

What the SCALE for these pieces?

Great pics again Carlos

What the SCALE for these pieces?
If you are asking about the B-17 and 11 ground crew, it is 1/32 scale. At the Lunch with Figarti, the B-17 and Bismarck gun were announced as 1/32, while the E-boat, LRDG, Christmas set, Euroramas, V-1 and V-2 were 1/30 scale. Figarti also had a prototype of their 1/32 scale LRDG.:)

With a plane that size or any of the War Birds I don't think you can tell that much of a size difference between 1/30 and 1/32.
