Throughout history there have been mysterious events that are debated even today. Was Tutankhamun murdered? Have we been visited by aliens in the past? Was it the meteorite that made the dinosaurs extinct? Did Atlantis exist? Who was Jack the Ripper? Is there a monster in Loch Ness? Is Bigfoot and the Yeti still roaming the wild? Was there a Guardian Angel at Mons? Was Custer killed at the Medecine Coulee ford? Did Hitler survive and live in South America? Was there a gunman on the Grassy Knoll? Were Butch and Sundance killed in Bolivia? But the question that has always puzzled me, leading to many sleepless nights mulling over the problem, is just how much WAS that doggy in the window? Trooper

Was that the one with the waggly tail?

Of course. Who wants a non waggly dog? This dog has the waggle fitted as standard, the only other alternative is to buy a non waggly model and see if the waggle can be fitted as optional extras. More expense! Trooper

I'd be interested to discover if in fact that doggy was for sale.

Springer Spaniel owners don't get a dog with a waggly tail BUT a dog that waggles everything if it's glad to see you. I had a girlfriend with a Springer Spaniel. The girlfriend sometimes waggled.

Don't worry about the purchase price - its the upkeep that kills your wallet. My dog has diabetes, and has to have insulin shots twice daily, with regular vet check ups to monitor his blood sugar. I've spent more on his health care than I ever did on my own.{sm2}{sm4}^&grin

there's only one group of people, maybe two who know the answers to all those questions:

the trilateral commission and, maybe, the masons.

...Was it the meteorite that made the dinosaurs extinct?

Probably not. Bob Bakker presents an excellent refutation of this theory, in his book, "The Dinosaur Heresies". Though an artist's rendering of a meteorite impact looks really good on the cover of Time or Newsweek or in BBC animated series, there are too many holes in the theory for it to hold water. There's little dispute that there was some kind of impact at the end of the Cretaceous, but there's little evidence to support the theory that it killed off the dinosaurs.

Prost!

His objections to the meter theory can be used to refute the vulcanism theories, too.

Bakker doesn't dispute that there was a mass extinction event, and he examines the details that we can read from the fossil record. But he refutes the theories as popularly portrayed, that is, they tend to show it almost like throwing a light switch, and all of a sudden, dinosaurs everywhere fell where they stood. Bakker examines the catastrophe theory and discusses several problems with it. I recommend his book.

Prost!

Thanks Brad, I hate to just go on "History Channel" information.

I know your pain. I actually saved on vet visits by self regulating his dosage myself. I actually got to his correct dose, by observing his behavior and then we did his vet check to verify..Also KMART in our area has the best price for his Humulin...Michael

Was Tutankhamun murdered? I used to think that, but I saw a recent History/Discovery? Channel program, that using DNA from his mummy and artifacts found in his tomb that proved he had a diseased bone break ( a large # of used canes and walking sticks found in tomb ) and terminal malaria that probably caused his death ( found mass quantities anti-malarial herbs in tomb to verify..)Some of my favorite History Channel / Discovery Egyptian stuff are the more current DNA specials....King Tut Unwrapped and Secrets of Egypt's Lost Queen.....Michael
