A Union Fife and Drum Corps somewhere in Pennsylvania

Inspiration for diorama was the period photo at the bottom.

Thank You for the two posts very interesting. I try to go to all the rennacments I can in one year. Living here in Florida. 98% of my collecting is the ACW. "Mr Colt 45"

Another outstanding scene Randy!! The figure arrangement, the title of your dio and the other historical info you directed us to are all top notch!

Great work.:salute::

Beautiful vignette! I just bought those figures as well. Need a few more fifers.
The men of the Camp Chase Fife and Drum Corps helped to provide me with a memory I will never forget. 125th Gettysburg re enactment, { my first event} 1st day. 5 of us from Oregon were mustered into a unit made up of guys from all over the country and overseas. With the Fife and Drums in the lead we Formed in column of 4's we lead the Union army to the field . They wheeled our unit off the road under some tree's in the shade and on the other side of the dusty road the Fife and Drum Corps to the other side. They played on and on as the whole Union army, maybe 6-7000 marched past . A snaking column marching over the dusty rolling hills , sun glinting off of thousands of muskets at the right shoulder, National and Regimental flags blowing in the breeze, Mounted officers and Guidon's darting about. A truly epic vision.It was probably 105 degree's and 99 humidity but I got chills up and down my neck and back.
A magic moment.History was alive and Hell on the Wabash was stuck in my head forever.

Nailed Randy. Nice to see your work flowing thru again, always a pleasure to view. Robin.

Very, Very nice Randy.
It seems like you are reading my mind. This is exactly the way I hoped to see these figures being used by collectors. I am working on a few minor conversions of the fifer and drummer so I can replicate a similar scene myself. I hope to add a few more similar ACW figures to these to give some more life to non-combat scenes next year too.
Hope to see more of your wonderful set ups soon!

Thanks everyone for your likes and comments. This was a fun subject to do. The historic photo was a big help in planning what i wanted to do with the figures.

Thanks Ken

You know how I love this kind of subject and really enjoyed planning and executing the scene. Will we see a Confederate band someday?
Many of us would also love some camp scene figures :)
