Beautiful vignette! I just bought those figures as well. Need a few more fifers.
The men of the Camp Chase Fife and Drum Corps helped to provide me with a memory I will never forget. 125th Gettysburg re enactment, { my first event} 1st day. 5 of us from Oregon were mustered into a unit made up of guys from all over the country and overseas. With the Fife and Drums in the lead we Formed in column of 4's we lead the Union army to the field . They wheeled our unit off the road under some tree's in the shade and on the other side of the dusty road the Fife and Drum Corps to the other side. They played on and on as the whole Union army, maybe 6-7000 marched past . A snaking column marching over the dusty rolling hills , sun glinting off of thousands of muskets at the right shoulder, National and Regimental flags blowing in the breeze, Mounted officers and Guidon's darting about. A truly epic vision. It was probably 105 degree's and 99 humidity but I got chills up and down my neck and back.
A magic moment.History was alive and Hell on the Wabash was stuck in my head forever.
